Technical Print Specialist

Job Description

Premier state-of-the-art packaging company in NJ is hiring for an Print Specialist.

Responsibilities include:

• Material, equipment and process validation on the manufacture of P/S labels and paper board and foil products.
• Assist in the layout and correct manufacturing processes of complex printed jobs.
• Assist with packaging design, prototyping and testing.
• Research and make recommendations on adhesives and paper stock.
• Work with ink vendors and pressroom personnel to test new inks and coatings.
  
  

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 5 years' R&D or packaging product development, or ink and color experience in the P/S label or folding carton industry.
• Working knowledge with flexographic and offset printing inks and coatings.
• Knowledgeable on a variety of substrates; p/s, paper, foil, and paper board.
• Working knowledge of converting, die cutting and slitting operations.
• Knowledge of G-7 Certification process a plus.
• Strong analytical and testing skills.
• Very good communication skills.
• PC proficient.
