Job Description

Your Job

  • Maintain and improve patients’ oral health by fabricating fixed and removable prostheses according to dentist prescriptions.
  • Improve quality results by continued education, evaluating and redesigning processes to implement changes.
  • Enhance our labs reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
  • Construct prostheses by following dentist prescription; making models of the mouth and teeth from impressions of the patients’ mouth taken by the dentist; build wax replicas of part or all the mouth and/or teeth on the model; encase the wax in a mold material and melting away the wax; replace the wax with plastic, metal, or ceramic materials to make the replacement appliance; polish and finish the appliance.
  • Utilize and conserve supplies and equipment by completing plaster casting, electro-spot welding, metal casting, metal polishing, wax modeling, ceramics, wire bending, electroplating, and sandblasting; using CAD/CAM units; maintain supply inventory and ensure equipment is working properly.
  • Maintain records of all actions regarding case fabrication

Your Skills

  • Experience in a Removable Technician position, or ability to learn.
  • experience with model work, start to finish, pour, trim and articulate, or experience in fine crafts working, detail painting, modeling or ceramics.
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to adapt in a growing, changing, and fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer experience
  • experience in the following: Select teeth; set teeth; wax try-ins, full arches and partials; bite rims; custom trays.
  • 5 years’ experience

Location:

Our network of dental laboratories spans seven states, with labs in Florida, Connecticut, Maryland, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Texas, and New York. The Leixir Home Office is in Tampa, Florida.

Interview Process

As a part of our commitment to creating a fair, equitable, and positive interview experience for all candidates, we offer full transparency of our interview stages to give applicants an idea of the time and effort involved.

  • Information Screening: The Talent Manager will have a 20-to-30-minute phone conversation focused on relevant work experience, compensation, role overview, and answering any questions you may have.
  • Panel Interview: 60-minute interview with two to three key members of the team. This will take place at the lab and will dive deeper into the role, technical knowledge, and requirements of the position. The candidate will have the opportunity to meet the team, tour the workplace, and gain a better understanding of the job’s functions.
  • Offer: The Talent Manager will reach out with the details of the informal offer for discussion. After all the details of the informal offer are finalized, the formal offer letter and job description will be sent.
