JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of an organization’s IT networks and services. As an enterprise architect, you will be responsible for overseeing, improving, and upgrading enterprise services, software, and hardware. Will also need to stay on top of the latest trends and technologies and keep an eye out for any software, services or hardware that might improve business processes. Act as high-level decision makers in the process, determining everything from design choices to technical standards, such as platforms and coding standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Definition, implementation, and execution of the processes used for software development and hardware buildouts. Includes standards, frameworks, and solutions, within best practices, for the teams to follow. 
  • Architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-program and inter-project issues 
  • Guide teams to best practices within technology and monitor technical debt. 
  • Oversee and review solutions that are put in place by development. 
  • Assist in selection of tools that facilitate the creation, management, and support of software.  
  • Lead design/development of core framework components that can be reused in other solutions.  
  • Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • POC’s and R&D development, lead team in the creation of POCs and innovative technology research. 
  • Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements. 
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing regular updates on architectural initiatives and their impact on business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and quality assurance to align architecture with business goals and requirements.
  • Creating business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant field 
  • 10 years of experience as a Java developer with proven record of overseeing large cross-functional projects in a high scale application environment. 
  • 10 years of experience with Java, JavaScript, REST, and JSON.  
  • A demonstrated understanding of web and API platform technologies including microservices, containerization, observability. 
  • Proven experience with the full development lifecycle from concept to delivery. 
  • Proven knowledge of a broad spectrum of platforms, technologies, and design principles including: Python, Java, Unit Testing (TDD, Mockito, JUnit), SQL (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL), Angular/React, Apache/NGINX Configuration, Linux, GIT management and configuration, Jenkins CI, Container deployments (Kubernetes), Microservices, Salesforce Apex & Canvas, React/Redux, JVM profiling, Docker, OAuth, JWT, AWS, GCP, and Azure. 
  • Experience with leading multiple projects and advising leadership is desirable. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and sit for a minimum of 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee is required to talk or hear with or without reasonable accommodation and must sometimes lift and move up to 10 pounds.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    While performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.

    This role is in-office.  Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
