Overview
We are seeking a subject matter specialist who can deliver and execute the delivery of operational HR services for associate relations, investigations, policy, and procedures that drive the overall associate experience. This role sits within our Human Resources Operations group and will be expected to work cross functionally between HR Corporate, Field, and Lennar Legal.
The focus is on championing the employee experience by leveraging our culture and policy to solve employee relations issues. Coach and mentor HR team members and business leaders on appropriate solutions to ER, both proactively and tactically. This role is expected to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to resolve complex workplace matters including but not limited to conducting investigations in response to formal complaints, including interviewing appropriate parties, reviewing and gathering related documentation/data, drafting of summary reports and presentation of recommendations for effective resolution; track investigation progress through to completion
- Analyze policy implications of negotiations and disputes (e.g., employee grievances, disciplinary matters, etc.), facilitating counseling when needed
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review and revise people programs, policies, and practices.
- Partner with HR teams and business stakeholders to develop and implement Employee Relations best practices and programs
- Advise People Managers and Associates in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances.
- Design, analyze and provide data analysis reports on associate issues and solutions based identify key trends to actively drive proactive solutions, minimizing reactive responses and improve levels of associate engagement.
- Analyze Associate feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revise programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes. Provides analysis and recommendations to stakeholders to improve the Associate Experience and mitigate risks
- Partner with learning and development to advise and train associates on associate relations best practices and strategies for managing difficult associate conflicts, situations and associate grievances. Develops new training content (as needed).
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately, with tact and discretion.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Regulatory Affairs, Human Resources, Business Management, or related fields, preferred.
- Demonstrated skills and ability to influence others
- Demonstrated ability to navigate within ambiguity, multiple priorities, and a constantly evolving environment
- Ability to work independently to make decisions guided by policies, practices, procedures, and business plan; Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Minimum Requirements: at least 8-10 years of broad HR Generalist knowledge and experience, with 5 years of direct, highly-focused ER experience
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII
- Previous experience conducting investigations and managing complex employee relations matters
- Experience building an improving workplace policies and practices
- Professional HR certification preferred (e.g. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, etc.)
- Certification in mediation/investigation preferred
- Experience working in a centralized ER model with direct reports
- Ability to travel at minimum once a month.

Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
