Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As the Strategic Sourcing Analyst II, you will secure and analyze quotations and negotiate prices and terms with U.S. and international suppliers, subject to management approval, for the purchase of fixed assets, parts, tooling, materials and/or services. The typical annual dollar buy is $75 to $150 million.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and recommend supply sources.
- Expedite the procurement of parts or materials in short or critical supply.
- Perform market analyses and competitive evaluations.
- Coordinate quality matters, engineering and price changes between company components and suppliers.
- Assist in negotiating and settling with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering change orders.
- Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 1 years of related experience.
- Has broad expertise including purchasing for lean manufacturing, Kanban and supplier development.
- Requires strong negotiation abilities and analytical skills.
- Shows exceptional verbal and written communication skills including with executives or in international contexts.
- Requires knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control.
- Must have knowledge of economic principles and financial markets.
- Competent in computerized procurement systems.
- Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- May require MS Access experience.
The Compensation range for this position is approximately $51,300- $68,00 and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.
