Job Description
The Webmaster will work in a fast-paced environment on modern enterprise websites to ensure content, security, design, and maintenance are managed and up-to-date.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Provides design, implementation, maintenance, and administration support for multiple enterprise web sites.
- Communicates and consults with the product team to determine and define website needs and functionality.
- Reviews and recommends hardware and software needed for website development.
- Coordinates organization of static and dynamic data with technical and product team
- Investigates and analyzes various specialized computing options and solutions. Troubleshoots system errors and bugs.
- Maintains and ensures the functionality of links and monitors the website for consistency.
- Design websites to maximize accessibility, usability, and effectiveness.
- involved in the overall design of the web infrastructure.
- Integrates database and application software into website design to increase site effectiveness, as needed. Integrates websites with internal and external APIS
- Advises design techniques specific to website development.
- Understand authentication mechanisms, including SSO
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5 years of experience as a webmaster
- Knowledge of Web programming techniques and protocols.
- Knowledge of multiple operating systems.
- Knowledge of Web publishing procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with the DotCMS platform is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience with web scripting and programming languages
- Experience in scripting to set up new environments
- Experience in upgrading/updating environments.
- Experience in systems administration, Web graphic design, development, and implementation experience using HTML, Perl, and CGI languages.
- Experience and knowledge in Web publishing procedures
- Experience with interfacing external applications to information servers
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks - Bootstrap, Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Knowledge of NodeJS, ExpressJS, Angular and Google Firebase
- Experience in Azure DevOps Integration
- Workflow management knowledge
- Knowledge of development life cycle best practices including version control, QA, build/release management, CI and regression testing.
- Working knowledge of web analytics solutions such as Google analytics is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a fast-paced Scrum environment.
- Ability to work in a globally distributed environment.
- Ability to guide/mentor junior team members.
- Good track-record of executing in a dynamic, team-based environment.
- Adept at understanding customer challenges, navigating from problem to resolution and communicating process and resolution effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management and staff.
