House Manager (Part-Time)

The Lensic Performing Arts Center seeks a part-time House Manager. This position is responsible for the safety of audiences and staff members at events taking place at the theater. The House Manager has a large scope of responsibility that includes the safety of patrons and volunteers, excellent customer service, and management of volunteer ushers.

Responsibilities include:

· Overseeing all front-of-house operations (security officers, bars, and lobby management) during assigned performances at the theater.

· Coordinating with the Theater Services Manager for scheduling, policy updates, and event logistics.

· Managing a team of volunteers at assigned Lensic events.

· Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment at assigned Lensic events by following all policies and procedures set forth.

Skills include:

· Excellent people skills, both with patrons and volunteers.

· Ability to stay calm and handle crowds of up to 850 people.

· Able to perform well under pressure.

· Familiarity with theater operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in theaters, excellent attention to detail, and be able to provide a presence that is both welcoming and authoritative. Evening and weekend work is required.
