What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eatery Team Member position at Leo's Market and Eatery?
JOB SUMMARY
The Eatery Team Member (ETM) works in support of the store management team to facilitate the completion of all store level tasks and performs a variety of tasks related to different areas of the store including food preparation, Stocking cooler and shelves, customer service, general housekeeping (both inside and outside the store) and other related functions. The ETM ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our vision to be the first choice in food and convenience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Greet customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
2. Support and follow all safety and security initiatives.
3. Ensure the proper execution of assigned foodservice programs and procedures.
4. Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality and store operations policies, procedures and practices which include food temperatures, food rotation and food appearance.
5. Ensure the proper execution of all assigned store level marketing programs.
6. Complete all store housekeeping functions (i.e., cleaning, dishwashing, commissary cases, drink areas, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.) both inside and outside the Store Location.
7. Replenish products and supplies to ensure in-stock conditions at all times in the cooler and shelving.
8. Communicate with the management team regarding customer requests, vendor-related concerns and break times.
9. Complete other tasks as assigned by Eatery Manager.
10. Full Service Fueling responsibilities.
SAFETY AND SANITATION
1. Maintain temperature logs and take temperatures of food regularly and record data as instructed by management.
2. Maintain quality and sanitary standards of State and City Health Departments
3. Maintain clean and orderly work area and complete other general cleaning duties, such as mopping/sweeping floors and emptying trash cans and clean equipment.
4. Report to management any safety hazards and equipment in need of repair.
5. Assists in keeping the kitchen, refrigerators and store rooms sanitary and orderly by cleaning utensils, equipment, fixtures and work areas.
REQUIRED FUNCTIONS
1. Exceptional customer service by providing pleasant greeting and parting remarks and make eye contact with customers
2. Superior relationship building skills
3. Highly effective communication
4. Wash, cut and prepare a variety of vegetables, slice and portion meats.
5. Execute sequence and time of cooking operations to meet daily production needs.
6. Make sure all opening and closing checklists are completed on time; complete cleaning lists.
7. Assist in the assembly and set-up/breakdown of serving line.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
2. Prefer High School Diploma or GED for full time positions.
3. Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
4. Must be at least 16 years old to be considered for part time position.
5. Reliable transportation
6. Underground Storage Tank Training (To be provided)
7. Certification of Age Restricted Tobacco and Alcohol Training (To be provided)
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $12.00 - $16.00/hour.
