What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator PT 9 (Accounting Coordinator) position at Leon County Schools?
This position will be responsible for the district's annual cost report, reporting monthly fuel and sales tax, reporting monthly charter school revenue (and other reports as necessary), and posting payroll and bi-weekly vendor payments. The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for (but not limited to) budget transfers, coding corrections, processing journal entries, balance general ledgers, assisting schools and other sections with coding and budget questions. You will also assist the Budget Director with special projects as assigned and assist with various duties as necessary. You may also occasionally conduct reviews of spending and budgeting allocations.
An Accounting Coordinator must have a strong mathematical mind and an ability to think critically. Candidates must demonstrate strong writing skills, ability to communication effectively, and show attention to detail. In addition, candidates should be knowledgeable about all legal regulations pertaining to Florida school's budgeting.
