What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater 2nd Shift position at Leonard Valve Company?
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Floater role is a flexible position that moves from job to job depending on the needs of the business. The Floater is trained and capable of performing all production and shipping jobs including, but not limited to; parts/material picking, valve component assembly, valve assembly, testing, packaging, shipping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizing hand tools, power tools, jigs/fixtures, measuring devices, etc., to perform the following:Assembly of valve components.
Assembly of various size valves.
Testing of valves and valve systems.
- Pick and deliver parts and materials to support production work orders.
- Customer order packaging and processing of shipments.
- Other tasks as appropriate and assigned by supervisors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Level 3: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- None
OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience soldering copper pipe.
- Experience with use of basic hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
- Capable of using measuring tools and reading a ruler.
- Perform basic math.
- Detail oriented.

Pay: From $26.80 per hour
