Position Summary: In this role, you will demonstrate your expertise in a variety of accounting practices, including (but not limited to) accounts receivable and payable, reconciling the general ledger, assisting with financial reporting, prepare sales commission calculations and various analytical tasks and research, . To succeed in this position, you will be highly accurate and efficient and add value to the accounting team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers (internal and external) and vendors on the phone, email, and in-person
- Help with annual audits
- Review and reconcile various general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Contribute to forecasting and budget planning processes
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals
Skills & Characteristics Needed for Success:
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Notary Designation a plus (Company Will Pay for this Certification)
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills
- Must Be Able to Provide 3 Professional References from Previous Employment
- Integrity- maintain a high level of integrity in your actions and words
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in accounting or relevant field required
- Minimum 1-year experience as an accountant or bookkeeper
- Exceptional computer skills (Solid Excel skills are a must)
- Superior math skills and an analytical mind
- Consistent, accurate, thorough, and detail-oriented
- Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Working Conditions &/or Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- This position requires but is not limited to lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, listening and speaking with internal and external clients.
