Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Ability to pass a physical abilities test to assess ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, and climb stairs/ladders as required for the position.
Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7-day operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective action as necessary.
- Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs.
- Basic math skills to be able to perform mathematical functions
- Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures.
- Ability to comply with all applicable safety practices.
- Ability to maintain a clean work area according to good manufacturing processes.
- Have good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts.
Education and Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Load fiber and ensure equipment is filled with raw materials.
- Assist in changeover of corrugated and bags.
- Maintain stock in box maker (i.e. supply of glue end panels and bodies) and bag inserter (i.e. bags).
- Inspect material (box material and bags) for flwas before loading material into the equipment.
- Assist operator in sanitation standard work operations, properly clean and sanitize all equipment followin good manufacturing practices as required by company procedures, maintain good housekeeping in areas and maintain 5S standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
