What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEW Site Maintenance I position at Leprino Foods?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures.
- Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment to include; riding lawnmower, push lawn mower, gas weed eater, chainsaw and blower.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed including scissor lift, knuckle boom lift, boom lift, and variable forklift equipment (sit-down, stand-up).
- Weed and trim lawns, flowerbeds and trees on the property to present a professional appearance.
- Mix and apply weed killer as appropriate to maintain facility grounds.
- Maintain and operate the facility irrigation system.
- Painting of the plant facility.
- Basic carpentry and general repairs; drywall repair, hanging signs, roof repair.
- Repairing and installing doors.
- Assist with repair, replacement of brick, tile, grout and mortar, on floor or wall.
- Mixing materials such as grout, mortar or epoxy.
- Cutting of brick or tile to in order to fit for tile replacement.
- Preventative maintenance on plant roof to include roof and gutter repair.
- Operate material handling equipment and power lifts inside and outside the plant.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting with 120/277-volt single phase ac.
- Inspect, cleaning and/or replacement of lights inside/outside the plant.
- Report detailed description of repairs and follow instructions from Group Leader or Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your department lead, supervisor, and manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of sanitary GMPs.
- Physical requirements to perform job as defined in the essential job function.
- Must be able to manage time, exercise good judgment and make decisions.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Preferred experience with landscaping, building trades, welding, HVAC, tile work or electrical troubleshooting.
- Must be able to provide a valid driver’s license to operate vehicles.
Must be able to obtain/provide forklift and heavy equipment licenses.
