What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Less Than?
This position is temporary - a pop up that will occur every weekend until the end of 2023. Possibility to turn into a long term position.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for shift by prepping bar, garnish, juicing, etc.
- Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle credit and debit transactions and process payments accurately
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor and manage inventory of bar supplies and ingredients
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for banquets or catering events
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, and handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff
Note: Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic.
