What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Marketing Manager position at Lever?
A BIT ABOUT US
Lever was founded nine years ago to tackle the most strategic challenge that companies face: how to recruit and hire top talent. We’re building the next generation of hiring software that companies like Netflix, Atlassian, KPMG, and McGraw-Hill Education rely on to grow their teams. We've rethought the talent acquisition paradigm and are the innovation leaders in our space and looking for the right people to join us as we scale.
We’re extraordinarily proud of the company we’ve built so far (not to mention humbled to be recognized as the #1 place to work in San Francisco, as well as a top workplace in the entire United States). Our people are Lever’s biggest competitive advantage and we’ll continue investing in our “Leveroos” and people-first culture.
THE CHALLENGE
Lever seeks a talented Events Marketing professional to develop events that will lead our company’s brand and demand generation efforts both at physical and virtual events. As the Events Marketing Manager, you will be supporting a portfolio of highly effective and visible strategic events and programs that support the company’s pipeline and revenue goals. We participate in several events each year, including webinars (third-party, partners, or self-produced), virtual summits, trade shows, regional events, strategic events (e.g., roundtables), and our events (e.g., user groups, customer advisory boards, product announcements, and Lever’s customer conference).
Your work will be critical to helping our sales organization target and reach audiences from their most important accounts productively and effectively. In this new era of more digital events, this role is responsible for pre-promotion to drive visibility and post-follow-up to deliver an optimal experience. As live events expand to in-person, this role is instrumental in bringing our brand to life virtually and physically in our booth floor plan and in sponsorships.
The successful candidate must possess excellent leadership qualities and communication strategy with a high degree of organization. You will need a strong background working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, creative/design, and operations to achieve messaging and planning to execute a well-experienced event. This role is best suited for a data-driven high-achiever with a proven ability to develop B2B marketing programs (e.g., webinars included) on a strategic and tactical level.
As the event marketing leader, you will work closely with the broader marketing team and organization to develop digital experiences that help drive business growth and create opportunities for our customers and prospects to have quality engagements with Lever. We are in a fast-paced category; this position requires working under tight deadlines and with maximum flexibility.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional interested in growing in their event marketing craft, spearheading Lever’s event strategy and wants to drive departmental and organizational goals. This role has high exposure cross-functionally and with executive leadership. Second, to our website, events are the next largest digital and offline footprint that exemplifies our category leadership and brand. The Events Marketing Manager will have ample independence and creative latitude to continually test, measure, learn and evolve our events programs. Marketing has direct contact with our target audience, creating live conversations that drive awareness around our solutions and offerings as they correlate to their needs. You will build programs that deliver results, scale your program across teams and regions and develop event programs that ultimately drive engagement to build new opportunities for prospects and customers. As a functional leader driving results, the Events Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of Demand Gen.
THE TEAM
Lever’s Marketing team is a tight-knit team with diverse backgrounds--our mission is to build a strong brand and sustainable demand for Lever by showcasing a product and experience our prospects and customers can’t live without in order to change the industry’s mindset around hiring.
