Summary: Responsible for installing and servicing voice and data cabling systems.

Requirements:Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Education/Experience: High School diploma/GED and one year of experience in telecommunications cabling copper (CAT 5e, 6, and 6A), fiber optics installation, and termination. Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, or NEC standards.
Certificates and Licenses: Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license and current Washington State Journeyman Electrical 06 license.
Computer Skills: Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Accurate typing, 10-key, and data entry skills.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, work instructions, software manuals; ability to write routine business reports and verbally communicate in a professional manner.
Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Additional Qualifications: Access to reliable transportation and basic telecom tools, including snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, and punch down tool.

Must be able to regularly climb and carry adders up to 28 feet tall. Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. The position requires ability to walk, stand, climb, and balance frequently. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone and in person with individuals and groups. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus to produce or review reports. This position requires the ability to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form.
The work is typically performed in a variety of environments, including outdoor and indoor spaces. The employee will frequently be exposed outdoor weather conditions and required to work in high, precarious places. Approximately 5% of work time is spent traveling to local job sites in a company vehicle.
