The person who fills this position will support the attorneys in a very busy plaintiff's personal injury law practice. Experience with personal injury cases is required. Experience with medical malpractice cases is preferred. Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting pleadings and other court filings including summonses and complaints, bills of particulars, notes of issue, etc.;
- Preparing discovery demands and discovery responses;
- Answering phones;
- Client interaction;
- Obtaining medical records for new/potential and existing cases.
The ideal candidate will be organized and capable of handling a large case load with the supervision of an attorney. Experience with Surrogate's Court proceedings in personal injury actions is a plus.
This office has been a prominent law firm representing plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice actions for approximately 50 years. The practice continues to grow and to become an excellent work environment that values its employees and clients alike.
