The Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our compliance framework. This role involves monitoring, evaluating, and implementing compliance policies and procedures to ensure that the company operates within the law and meets regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape affecting SaaS companies, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate compliance requirements effectively across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as necessary.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and update company policies accordingly.
- Support the development and implementation of data protection and privacy policies.
- Investigate and respond to compliance issues and incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Assist with other projects to help solve problems and take advantage of growth opportunities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CCEP, CISA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the SaaS or technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex compliance requirements in simple terms.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
