Lewis Builders, a Design Build firm located in Carmel, CA, is looking for an Interior Designer to join our team.


MISSION

The mission of the Interior Designer (ID) is to facilitate the interior design of residential remodeling projects. They work with the Project team and the Interior Design peers and to achieve outcomes considering budget, project goals, and client preferences.

 

OUTCOMES

  1. Designs are drawn according to template standards and project requirements with enough detail for client presentations and production.  
  2. Deliverables, such as, designs, samples and bids are prepared and acquired in a timely manner to meet the project schedule.
  3. Site assessments are completed at regular intervals to achieve objectives, including, but not limited to, measurements, meeting with subcontractors, and rough-in verification.
  4. Allowances and selections are accurately designated for the project design, scope of work, and budget. 
  5. All details are communicated with the Project Team; takeoffs and material verifications are accurate and complete.
  6. PO’s are created to match selections. The Material Management process is consistently followed.

 

COMPETENCIES

  1. Computer/tech savvy. Mac computer proficient; experienced in Google Suite, specifically Drive & Docs.
  2. CAD experience. Knowledge using Chief Architect preferred.
  3. Experience in residential construction practices and governing codes.
  4. Knowledge of a wide variety of construction finishes.
  5. Creative. 
  6. Organized.
  7. Self motivated.
  8. Solution oriented.
  9. Personable.
  10. Flexible - with what role exactly looks like and work demands.
  11. Detail oriented.
  12. Accountable.
