Overview
Summary:
Diagnoses problems and performs complex and/or major mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on all yellow iron and other oil field equipment. Performs work in both shop and field environments.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Heavy Equipment Maintenance: Performs all necessary preventative maintenance on heavy equipment according to established guidelines and time frames. Identifies and orders parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance. Performs complex repairs on equipment. Replaces parts and equipment as necessary.
Mechanic Support: Assists lower level Mechanics in completing work assignments as necessary. Provides mentoring and instruction to lower level Mechanics.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots and diagnoses all problems with equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; minimum one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computer use and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of RTA Fleet Management Software is a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Driver License.
Other Skills and Abilities Strong communication and time management skills.Ability to work under pressure.
Other Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish.
