QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1) Must have experience with industrial robots:
a. Fanuc and/or ABB preferred
2) Preferred experience with PLC’s (AB) and Automated machine visions systems (Cognex, Delsa)
3) Integration – must be able to integrate robots into the manufacturing processes
a. Robot / PLC inputs and outputs
b. Material handling, welding, paint/sealer, and inspection applications
c. Robot Safety and DCS programming
d. General robot debugging skills
4) Teach pendant programming and Offline programming experience
a. (Fanuc RoboGuide, AB RobotStudio)
5) ABB Rapid and Fanuc Karel programming experience
6) Must be able to integrate various miscellaneous devices and modules into the controls system of automated cells
a. There can be various different automation devices, from various manufacturers, that are machine or application specific, that the robotics engineer must be able to quickly learn and become fluent
7) Must be able to teach and train supporting engineers and maintenance staff on new processes and controls devices and standards.
8) Attend Department Production Meetings, Program specific APQP meetings, and Corrective Actions Meetings as needed
a. Be part of the part and process design team and give feedback on intended controls / error proofing / serialization / sequencing
b. Attend critical design reviews
c. Permanent Corrective Action implementation meetings
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Engineering Degree or at least 5 years automation experience
