Lexington Home Brands, a global manufacturer and marketer of home furnishings, and a recognized leader in innovative design, lifestyle merchandising, and aspirational marketing has an immediate job opening for a full-time Gallery Manager at its Showroom at Furnitureland South in Jamestown, NC.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Greet and assist customers in the Showroom and when necessary, assist customers with furniture / fabric selections, order samples and provide design assistance.
- Serve as liaison between the Lexington Homes Brands (LHB) Independent Account Manager (IAM) and the Furnitureland South (FLS) Interior Designers.
- Work with the LHB Customer Care Team and Lexington IAM on any order issues as they arise.
- Provide learning and development opportunities for FLS Interior Designers to better understand the wide variety of collections Lexington Home Brands offers.
- Create and analyze sales data to determine overall performance of LHB collections.
- Ensure Showroom appearance is always pristine for the customer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline preferred
- 1-3 years’ relevant home furnishing retail or design background experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows. Comfortable in the use of online apps and technology
- Previous exposure to the furniture industry/market a plus
- Required Skills:
- Develop a strong understanding of the diverse product assortment, which includes indoor and outdoor home furnishings, home décor and decorative accessories
- Learn to use a variety of in-store digital tools, like touchscreens and iPads, which support the design and selling process, particular in facilitating custom orders
- Establish rapport with guests in a low-stress environment, with the goal of understanding what projects they are working on in their home, providing guidance and design expertise
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task well; ability to work independently and with other functional areas; attention to detail
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, be pro-active, and follow-through on work assigned by organizing, prioritizing and staying on task
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of organizational users outside of the interior design/showroom area and in a multitude of settings; face-to-face, phone, and email
- Displays positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work in an outgoing Team environment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. for setup of Showroom and Store displays
