The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing under the guidance of the Sr. Product Manager. This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to launch products and ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Conduct research on adjacent markets and customer segments
- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
- Be knowledgeable with respect to the competition and create battlecards
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Suggest pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
- Work with Product Training to support development of sales tools
- Work with Marketing to direct product marketing efforts
- Launch products and product updates and inform the business as necessary
- Measure and improve product KPIs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management or product marketing
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Experience in public safety market is a nice to have
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Technical acumen, with experience in SaaS or content-based products
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
