The Back-Parts Counter Person contributes to the success of the Parts Department by being involved and adding to our customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- 1-year experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Must follow and adhere to brand Guidelines & Customer Service Expectations
- Must have a strong focus on keeping KPI scores high
- Must be a process driven individual with the strong ability to multitask
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Qualifications:
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business by ensuring customer complaints are handled tactfully, promptly, with genuine concern, and per brand standards
- Takes the initiative to exceed customer satisfaction and brand Customer Survey Score Cards by ensuring the quality and promptness of all parts requests.
- Complete training programs and certification programs.
- Monitors shop conditions, cleanliness and safety
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts
- Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
- Pulls and fills orders from stock
- Maintain a weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
- Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
- Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
