Accounting Internship (Bilingual English/Korean)

LG's 2024 Summer Internship Program will be a 9 week internship from June 3rd through August 2nd, 2024.

The internship will be based in office at the LG North America Innovation Campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $23.50.

The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience.

The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program’s end. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible to review the Accounts Payable (AP) vouchers
• Organize and update financial records
• Review and update the company's expense policy to ensure alignment with existing regulations and current operations of the company
• Support month end financial close including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliation and accruals
• Prepare special financial reports when requested by senior managers
• Prepare documentation for external auditors
• Work with systems and tools such as GERP, GEVS, IPS, iBTS
• Project will include review of the company's fixed asset and update the following
      A. FA major & minor category
      B. FA department
      C. FA person in charge (by each fixed asset)
      D. FA physical location (State info as well)
      E. FA terminated employee validation

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited College/University
• Rising Junior or Senior in Bachelor's degree program
  
• Accounting/Finance/Economics related major is preferred
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
• Bilingual in English and Korean (Able to read and write fluently)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Analytical and well organized
