About the Role:
We are looking for an Assistant Controller or an Controller for the Axolabs Division of LGC. We are growing immensely in Petaluma and Berlin Axolabs, so this newly created role will be an important part of that growth. The position will have ownership of local financial performance vs Budget and Forecasts and you will forge strong links with local operational management and operational teams.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain updated view (weekly) of revenue and CoGS outlook for current month upcoming quarters – build strong relationship with Project Management Team who own the Order Board.
- Management of local Budget process (templates & submissions).
- Management of local quarterly forecast process (templates & submissions).
- Build, review and submission of weekly sales flash (along with qualitative outlook sent to management team weekly).
- Contribution to build of monthly business review pack (powerpoint)Co-ordination of monthly local balance sheet review process.
- Manage one dedicated Finance Analyst.
- Liaise with Biosearch shared service centre (AP and AR).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field is preferred.
- 5 year experience in a Manufacturing environment, ideally in Biotechnology (less experience for Assistant)
- Good organizer, positive attitude, hits deadlines
- Strong communicator and knows how to flex style appropriate to different stakeholders
- Commercial awareness
- Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting and its related accounting impacts (Inventory, Absorption, WIP etc)
- Conversant with relevant platforms and IT packages (Excel, Powerpoint, IFS, Tableau among others). Prior knowledge of IFS/ Tableau is not a requirement but a preference.

The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $ 100,000 Yearly
Maximum: $ 150,000 Yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California -based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location.
