What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with our Fortune 100, publicly traded client that is looking for an Accounting Manager with a background in public accounting to join their team.
This is a highly visible role that will require you to visit the office three days per week in New Castle County, Delaware.
You must have experience working with a publicly traded company with the SEC and a CPA, or on CPA track, to be considered for this role. Experience with the SEC Rules and Regulations and quarterly and annual filings is a MUST.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial close processes.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial documentation.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all statutory and regulatory reports, including 10-K and 10-Q filings.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
$125,000- $135,000
