What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in the Gahanna area of Columbus to fill and accounts receivable need in business-to-business collections. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of recent experience along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is a 3–6-month contract and will pay between $20 and $25/hr. depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts and ensure timely collections.
- Contact business clients via phone, email, and letters to follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment issues.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients to recover outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions with clients in the company’s database.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to billing and payments.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the status of collections, outstanding debts, and recovery efforts to management.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address any issues that may impact collections.
- 2 years of recent commercial collections experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work onsite 100% of the time.
- Ability to work in both independent and team environments.
