Accounts Payable Accountant
lhh is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our clients finance team. As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Invoice Processing: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including reviewing and processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and obtaining necessary approvals.
· Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds.
· Vendor Relations: Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies, address inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.
· Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
· Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including reconciliations and accruals.
· Reporting: Generate and analyze accounts payable reports, providing insights to management as needed.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting regulations.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in the accounts payable function, and collaborate with the team to implement changes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
· 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and compliance.
