We are excited to partner with our National client in their search for a dedicated Buyer. This is a pivotal opportunity to be a part of our client's dynamic team during a period of significant growth. The Buyer will be based in Portland, OR, focusing on procurement, vendor relations, and inventory management. Our client is looking for a candidate who can contribute to the development and success of the organization's purchasing department under the guidance of an experienced Director of Supply Chain. Ideal candidates will possess at least two years of experience in a Buying role. This is a Direct Hire position, offering an annual salary of $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience. Buyer Responsibilities:
- Procurement: Manage the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring availability of necessary materials while controlling costs.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and identify potential new suppliers.
- Cost Control: Implement strategies to minimize costs and enhance value from suppliers.
- Purchase Orders: Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
- Strong negotiation skills and understanding of supply chain management.
- Proficient in procurement software and systems; ideally experience within QuickBooks
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or related field is preferred.
