LHH is seeking a CAD Detailer for a direct hire position in Charlotte, NC! The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience in CAD detailing within commercial construction reading and interpreting technical structural drawings. This position is fully onsite Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and review structural and civil construction drawings.
- Create detailed line drawings for the Line and Grade Teams.
- Develop formwork shop drawings based on selected formwork systems.
- Generate pour break drawings as needed for construction projects.
- Collaborate with field teams to address any drawing conflicts or issues related to formwork.
- Review construction documents to identify dimensional conflicts and clarifications.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve drawing conflicts.
- Organize and maintain project drawing files and ensure accuracy.
- Verify the accuracy of production drawings by comparing them to construction documents.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; minimum of one year of detailing experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to inquiries from managers, clients, and customers.
- Strong attention to detail and listening skills.
- Proficient in applying mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, and other calculations to practical design solutions.
- Strong team player, capable of working collaboratively with others in various environments.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges in both standard and unique situations.
- Ability to understand and follow safety rules, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Practical understanding of design instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
