What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Engineer position at LHH?
LHH Technology is looking for a Cloud-focused Software Engineer to join an established client of ours in the Commercial Security space. This person will aid in the development of software programs and applications, well ensuring best practices and fostering an environment of collaboration and learning.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for integrating with a variety of third-party systems. This is a hands-on position with focus on designing specifications, writing code, and QA testing.
- Write technical specifications and code to create a demonstrable prototype based on the concept design.
- Create test plans and participate in test and verification. Acquire third-party certification and verification when necessary.
- Develop documentation including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. Lead and participate in code reviews.
- Create tools and development aids as needed, assists team members in implementing team shared resources.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and studying development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment.
- Present work products and receive feedback; keep product development stakeholders aware of progress.
- Provide assistance and services to other departments within the company as needed. Interacts with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, or software.
- 4 years of experience designing and developing software with production quality code in a professional software development role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must have strong problem-solving skills and communicate persuasively. Ability to clearly document and communicate software architecture and design.
- Demonstrated experience and excellent working knowledge of TypeScript programming language.
- Proficient with React, Good working familiarity with at least one other modern programming languages (Java, Python, etc.).
- Familiar with CI/CD
- Experience working in the Cloud (AWS preferred)
- Acts in ethical and professional manner at all times with colleagues, customers, and vendors, representing the highest standards.
- Experience working with third-party APIs and SDKs and developing middleware solutions.
- Experience with software development schedule and lifecycle management techniques.
