Human Resources Director
Salary: $140,000-$160,000
LHH is seeking an HR Director for a small company in Farmingdale, NY. Our client is a reputable company seeking a strong leader in all areas of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will serve as a proactive guide to the organization helping to translate business objectives into people strategies. This position is onsite 5 days a week and offers full benefits.
Job Summary: As the HR Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's human resources function. You will lead a team of HR professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure that our organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR operations, experience in talent acquisition, and a passion for creating a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for all employees, including creating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
Develop and manage employee training and development programs to support career growth and skill development.
Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development plans.
Oversee the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and align with company values.
Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and provide regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Experience with talent acquisition, talent management, and employee development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and senior management.
Familiarity with HR technology, including HR information systems and payroll software.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
