What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Accountant position at LHH?
LHH is working on behalf of our client in the insurance space who is seeking a motivated Investment Accountant to join their team on a long term, contract basis. This will be a hybrid in-office role in Manhattan, NY. Prior SAP experience is preferred. Responsibilities:
- Complete GAAP and STAT reconciliations for investments
- Produce statutory quarterly/annual statements
- Assist with month end close processes
- Assist with financial statement preparation under GAAP standards
- Daily cash flow reconciliations and analysis
- Manage intercompany reconciliations
- Work towards improving reporting processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3 years of investment accounting and reporting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain strong work ethic under strict deadlines
- Experience working with SAP is preferred
- Prior industry experience is a plus
Compensation: $35 - $48/hr, depending on experience.
