Patient Access Rep
LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Patient Access Rep for our large healthcare client located in the Tukwila area. This is a contract position for our client and will be 100% onsite.
This role will be focused on keeping patient demographics up to date, verifying insurances, obtaining and following up on referrals and pre-authorizations, and assisting patients throughout the medical billing process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience in a medical setting / patient access / medical billing or similar experience required
- Must have experience with insurance verification and medical reimbursements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR Systems
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, especially phone etiquette
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and remain calm in high pressure situations
- Able to work in a production environment and apply feedback as it's given
- Ability to work well as an independent producer and as a team player
- Able to be empathetic and patient with a wide array of patients
