Job Description: Temporary Payroll Assistant
Location: Sterling, VA
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days onsite
Duration: 2 months
LHH is partnering with a client seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Assistant to join their team in Sterling, VA. This role is ideal for someone with a background in payroll processing or data entry and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will support our payroll department in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for our employees. This is a temporary assignment and will pay between : $22 - $25 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
- Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Maintain payroll records and files
- Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Support with payroll-related inquiries from employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Assist with the preparation of payroll reports as needed
- Perform other administrative tasks as required by the payroll department
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a payroll assistant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
