What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at LHH?

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a client to find a payroll specialist to join their team. This opportunity is a fully remote, contract to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Manage Payroll System for 2000 internal employees (on a bi-weekly pay schedule)

Data entry

Processing payroll reports, deductions, changes in pay rates and benefits

Onboarding new employees

Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual muti- jurisdictional, multi state payroll tax filings including year end W-2’s and W-3’s

Reporting attendance due to payroll requirements (everything is timesheet driven)

Tracking employee time off

Qualifications:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or any related field (Required)

Skills:

Must know how to work a payroll grid and apply hours accurately

Great Communication skills

Intermediate typing and computer skills

Mathematical skills for accurate data entry and record keeping

Customer Service Skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Software:

Paychex Flex or proficient experience with payroll software (ADP, Kronos, SAP)

QuickBooks

Microsoft Office Suite

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years in a payroll with multi-state experience

Compensation: $24-$25 per hour

Employment Type: Contract-to-hire

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, Fully Remote

Work Hours; Monday-Friday 8am-5pm EST
