What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at LHH?
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's growing team. In this role you will contribute to monthly and annual closing processes, journal entries, data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and coordination with external auditors. This is a fully onsite role with a stable and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and annual closing activities
- Prepare journal entries, invoices, and supporting schedules
- Conduct data analysis and prepare financial reports
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Support annual external audit processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and identify risks
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor statement reconciliation
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Knowledge of Sage 50 (Peachtree) is a plus
