What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at LHH?
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our financial services client in this HYBRID role in Cherry Creek, CO. In this newly created role, you will be part of the finance department transformation and apply both your accounting and finance skills to this growing organization. The best candidate will have at least two years of public accounting experience.
Compensation
The annual salary range is $85,000-$95,000, depending on experience. Benefits include pension/retirement plans, private medical insurance, generous share plans, season ticks loans, lunch allowances, and various health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits.
Hours and Location
This is a HYBRID position, in office in Cherry Creek, CO 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Preparing journal entries
- Preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, monthly account reconciliations, and various reports
- Researching a variety of accounting items
- Assisting with the implementation of departmental procedures
- Working with various departments and responding to inquiries around financial transactions
- Participating in current state and future state assessment activities
- Developing future state process maps
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of public accounting experience
- CPA, preferred
- Knowledge of SAP, preferred
- Good working knowledge of GAAP
- Understanding of long-term incentive accounting, nice to have
- Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standard, nice to have
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
