Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses, delivering insights to senior management to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to manage revenue and expense accruals and analyze fluctuations in financial statements.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency within the finance function.
- Mentor and support junior staff, promoting their professional development and growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Previous experience in public accounting preferred
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar platforms preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial models.
- Proficiency with data analytic tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement process improvements.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
