Senior Property Accountant

LHH is working with a real estate firm in the Fort Lauderdale area. Our client is looking to add a Sr. Property Accountant to their team. This candidate must have multi-family/apartment accounting experience and yardi experience.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide accounting leadership to the Company’s accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, JE, etc
• Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of financial packages to ownership, clients, and other departments as necessary
• Develop and monitor policies and procedures within Company’s guideline and in accordance with US GAAP
• Maintain record keeping compliance within all legal and regulatory requirements, mitigate risk, and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results
• Monitor and lead the preparation of month-end, year-end closing, and Budget process
• Support in the acquisitions of new client accounts
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support as needed
• Assist in the oversight of the accounting department to include managing the department professional development

• Proficient with Yardi, Entrata, and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Dependable, flexible and have highest ethical and professional conduct and integrity

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field Required
• 5 – 7 years of relevant Residential/Multi-family Real Estate Accounting and Property Management Experience Required
