Site Assistant Manager (Retail)
Location: Montgomery County, NY
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Welcome Center Manager
Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, twisting, walking, lifting up to 50lbs, push & pull heavy loads
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends.
Pay Range: The pay range is $17.60 to $25.13
Job Summary: This position supervises and coordinates the activities of all clerks and operational activities including customer services, inventory management, and personnel management, site scheduling, and achieving regulatory standards.

Use of mechanical equipment with moving parts such as a deli slicer, use of scales, working with refrigerated coolers & freezers, use of hand truck, use of company owned vehicle(s), use of general office equipment such as computer, printer, scanner, copier, fax machine & telephone, use of ladder and/or step stool, use of cash register & credit/debit/EBT card sale devices, exposure to a large variety of food products in various states including common allergens, exposure to various household and industrial strength cleaning products.

Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Retail experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid NYS driver’s license w/ no drug or alcohol related violations, excessive accidents or excessive points.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assists Welcome Center Manager with responsibility for the store. Manages team to achieve identified goals
- Assists Welcome Center Manager with personnel management such as recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Responsible for scheduling to ensure proper coverage is maintained at the store at all times.
- Monitors inventory to include ordering, storing and stocking. Verifies deliveries against invoices. Reports discrepancies to supervisor.
- Demonstrates desired behaviors of staff to ensure a professional environment is maintained and the best customer experience is achieved
- Ensures all store equipment is properly functioning and a neat, clean and safe environment is maintained
- Ensures that store policies and regulatory standards are upheld.
- Ensures store clerks deliver outstanding customer service.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
