The Training Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of designated lines of business content. Will provide instruction, mentoring and guidance to staff. May operate at corporate or at the regional operations level. This position administers knowledge checks to confirm retention and comprehension of content. The Training Coordinator’s duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Work with local leadership to deliver training programs and materials that support achievement of regional business goals
- Train in-person and remotely, keeping trainees always engaged in subject matter
- Support MSR trainees and others while they are in nesting during their first 5 to 10 days of taking calls
- Utilize available data and reporting to identify areas for improvement and work with the Corporate Employee Development Department (CEDD) to implement training strategies for ongoing reinforcement of product and process knowledge
- Maintain training materials to reflect current company practices, products, processes, and departmental procedures
- Evaluate the effectiveness of course content and delivery modalities and make improvements as necessary in line with established corporate training protocols
- Conduct individualized training when opportunities are identified
- Perform other duties as assigned or determined appropriate by management

Distinguishing Characteristics for a Coordinator and Senior Coordinator
- A Training Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of lines of business training as well as the modification of existing course content. May create basic training content with assistance.
- A Senior Training Coordinator is responsible for the original development and delivery of unique lines of business training. Able to develop advanced courses and accompanying objective knowledge measurements. Displays demonstrated knowledge of Adult Learning Theories and Various Teaching Methodologies.
- A Senior Training Coordinator must possess a BA or BS degree in a related field or related certification with 5 years’ experience in adult learning, curriculum/training and/or leadership
Education and/or Experience:
- BA or BS degree preferred or High School Diploma and equivalent years of experience/education
- 3 years of experience in adult learning, curriculum/training development and/or leadership desired
- Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional design and teaching platforms a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental or healthcare environment
Specific Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to accept and deliver critical feedback
- Proven leadership skills and strong EQ
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem resolution
- Ability to remain professional in an office setting including discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; time management skills are critical
- Ability to foster a team environment and motivate others to achieve success
- Must have a sense of urgency and possess the ability to take initiative
Environment and/or Physical Factors:
Work may be performed within an office environment or virtual training, with standard office equipment available. Sedentary work involves extensive sitting, typing, close range vision most of the time. May include occasional travel.
