Shipping Department Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the items received
- Unload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for damages or defects
- Sort, label, and store received items in designated areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items
- Track inventory and update system records
- Operate reach trucks or move stock within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and measurements

Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify) and order management systems (UPS Worldship, Endicia) is a plus
- Proficiency in inventory tracking
- Ability to operate reach trucks safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification

- Ability to lift 50 lbs. at a time.
