SUMMARY:
Coordinates the daily activities of the shipping office; communicates information between sales department, warehouse, drivers, and customers.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Distributes work tickets to appropriate departments.
- Accurately processes (stages) all orders.
- Routes all shipments.
- Assists sales and warehouse staff with Customer Pick-up Orders.
- Maintains Route Schedule.
- Prepares loading documentation; maintains orderly files for all documentation.
- Provide production with updates on priorities of work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent Customer Service skills (in person and over the phone).
- Previous Truck Routing and/or dispatching skills (a plus).
- Proficient at typing, maintaining spreadsheets,
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- ELD Dashboard and routing experience a plus.
