Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans for HVAC systems based on specifications provided by engineers and architects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate and detailed drawings of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents to develop HVAC drawings and plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Review and revise drawings to ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions from project stakeholders into drawings as necessary.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of HVAC drawings and related materials.
• Participate in design meetings and coordination efforts with other trades to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into building projects.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or certificate in drafting, engineering technology, or related field.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Revit MEP, with specific experience in HVAC design preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and components.
• Knowledge of HVAC design principles, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• 2-3 years of prior experience in HVAC drafting or a related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
