Staff Accountant

Liberty Personnel is working with a reputable Health Care company based in Philadelphia that is looking to hire a staff accountant. The responsibilities for this role is as follows:

• Collaborate effectively with supervisors to maintain day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
• Promote teamwork within the work group to foster a collaborative environment.
• Interact professionally with Administrators and their staff to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting.
• Manage and complete special projects assigned by managers and controllers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses and variance explanations to support the month-end close process.
• Assist in the monthly close process and support the Annual Operating Budget Process as assigned.
• Maintain necessary schedules and documentation for monthly closings, quarterly reviews, and annual audits.
• Review financial data for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.
• Apply GAAP and Financial Reporting Standards without exception.
• Provide assistance with special projects, operating budget, and financial audit as necessary.
• Provide financial support to the Controller and Department Directors as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business Related Degree.

• CPA is preferred, but not required
