Senior Analyst, Inventory Management Description Lead the demand planning for assigned categories, managing accurate demand forecasts that incorporate current and relevant market information to predict customer demand Drive forecast accuracy and bias improvements by: Managing forecast exceptions at the product/selling channel level and product/location level if needed Incorporating SKU level statistical models, business insights, and marketing strategies into demand plan. Performing strategic analysis, making parameter adjustments in order to increase forecast accuracy Validating and adjusting demand system seasonal profiles, as needed (holiday shifts, store animations and promotional event shifts) Identify forecast accuracy root causes and refine process to ensure continuous improvement with a focus on automation Model business trends and share findings, participating in business reviews to highlight risks and opportunities driven by the forecast. Analyze event impacts to baseline forecasts and ensures appropriate sales lifts are applied to future events Support the company’s long term strategy and inventory reduction while maintaining high Customer Service level metrics; Requirements BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or other Math intensive field. 2 years of retail demand planning or forecasting experience Exposure to direct import, seasonal items, brick-and-mortar In-depth knowledge and experience with forecasting processes and methodologies. Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical modeling.
