Electronic Health Record Applications Specialist Position Summary:
The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Applications Specialist will be responsible for the design, build, testing, installation, maintenance and ongoing support of software applications required to support Agency programs and Administrative functions. The EHR Applications Specialist will be an active participant on agency-wide Health Information Technology team, and will consult with EHR users to ensure the EHR systems support identified current operating procedures and program objectives.
Electronic Health Record Applications Specialist Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of the Agency EHRs (e.g. Netsmart myEvolv, NextGen, ProviderSoft) systems and updates.
Work with program staff to better utilize various enterprise applications (e.g. Finance/Accounting, Human Resources), electronic health record systems (e.g. NextGen and MyEvolv), and other health information technologies to meet program needs and goals, improve financial results and program quality outcomes.
Work with program and other agency offices to assure data integrity, promote data integration and sharing.
Organizes EHR project implementation, testing and maintenance activities
Provides ongoing support to users to maximize EHR effectiveness
Assists with EHR user trainings
Works with Business Intelligence team to develop and maintain a list of reporting needs and frequency with which reports are to be generated.
Timely monitoring of audit (cleansing) reports.
Organizes EHR project implementation activities
Ability to analyze, prioritize, and facilitate resolution of all EHR project related issues.
Develops and executes test plans as directed.
Performs security maintenance as directed by the System Administrator.
Develops forms and templates as directed by the System Administrator.
Demonstrates sound judgment in managing confidential matters with regard to clients, staff and sensitive management issues.
Demonstrates knowledge of, and carries out agency policies and procedures.
Completes all necessary written reports and required assignments in a timely manner.
Attends and participates in individual supervisory conferences, staff meetings, training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.

Handles emergency situations which may require flexibility of time and area assignment.
Performs all other duties as required.
Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is required.
Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle highly sensitive information of a confidential nature.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Previous experience working with Electronic Health Records.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office also required.

Salary: $65,000 to $85,000 / year
