The Position:

The Security Manager will be responsible for providing day-to-day direct management and support of security team and activities.

PAY RANGE: $56,825-$71,031

DISCRETIONARY TARGET BONUS OF 12%

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day direct management and support of security team and activities.
• Support HR and Operations teams in daily employee management functions.
• Manage activities and systems for securing the facility.
• Oversee emergency response for the facility.
• Provide day-to-day direct management and support of fire inspectors.
• Maintain fire systems and certifications for the plant.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs of fire systems.
• Determines weekly requirements and schedules manpower accordingly. When appropriate, performs an employee call-out to cover vacancies.
• Directs others to: patrol premises to prevent and/or detect signs of intrusion, theft or fire, check doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure, monitor and authorize entry and departure of all employees, visitors, suppliers and others to guard against theft or intrusion and maintain security of the plant, write daily reports of all activities and notes any unusual occurrences, property damage, and the presence of suspicious or unauthorized personnel, respond to all in-plant emergency calls, notify police or fire department in case of emergency and directs them to the location of the emergency, check sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers on a regular basis, fill and replace empty fire extinguishers as needed, check and maintain access to valve houses and fire ladders, check fire pumps, fire doors, gravity tank, cardox tank, fire hydrants, flood gates and confined space rescue equipment, and test fire alarms on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-6 months related experience and/or training in lieu of college or technical school.
• Active IDPH First Responder Certification or ability to complete within first six months of employment.
• Minimum of one year of supervision/management experience; supervision of union employees is a plus.
• Must be familiar with computers and have knowledge of Microsoft software.
